- All Kits are returned to the IS Desk, where the staff member will count the pieces to make sure that no parts are missing. This must be done in the presence of the patrons.
- Complete kits (no parts missing) are brought to Circulation, where they are checked back in.
- If a part is missing, IS staff must alert Circulation to put a notation on the patron’s card.
- Patrons leaves with the kit and goes home to see if they can find the missing part(s). If the patron cannot find the missing part(s), Circulation will bill the patron according to the kit pricelist and sends the kit to “repair” in the system.
- Circulation alerts Sam to reorder the missing part.
- Sam brings the part to Circulation when it arrives.
- Circulation will change the status of the kit from “repair” to ‘on-shelf” and will return the completed kit to the Makerspace.
