Help the Library Volunteering

Become a Volunteer!

Volunteering at the library can be a rewarding experience. Individuals interested in volunteering may pick up an application in the Administration Office, at the Information Services desk, or click here for the form and the Authorization for background check form. (Adobe Reader required to open the PDF file.).

Volunteer opportunities include the following:

Homebound Service

Select and deliver materials to residents of East Brunswick who are permanently unable to visit the library. Delivery of library materials is made biweekly. This program is shared with the Department of Aging. For information contact the Adult Services Department at (732) 390-6772.

Join the Friends

Those wishing to volunteer at the library can also join our very vibrant and active Friends of The Library group. Whether its working at our Annual Bargain Book and Media Sale, working on a committee, or helping with other fundraising projects, the Friends can always use your help.

Teen Volunteering

The library is a great place for teenagers to volunteer their special talents. Opportunities to make a difference include the Teen Library Connection ( TLC) program in the summer, the Teen Advisory Board (TAB), and more. See our Volunteer Opportunities for Teens page for additional information on each program.
