Spencer Sandoval, girlfriend of Ethan Amoroso, wakes up with a broken arm, bruises, and stitches on her face and she can't piece together what happened on the night of the crash. Ethan claims that he was driving too fast, skipped the intersection, and lost control of the car, which led to the accident, but Spencer thinks otherwise. She starts investigating what “really” happened on the night of the crash; she starts to question why she was in the car with Ethan even after breaking up with him that night and why Chris and Tabby—people she barely knew—were in the car with them the night of the crash. I rate this book a five out of five, if I could, I would rate this book a six out of five. This book is a great drama-filled book with plot twists and climaxes consistently throughout it. Melissa De La Cruz, a #1 New York Times Bestselling author perfectly writes this fictional mystery novel in a captivating and engaging way. The outcome of Spencer’s investigation on the case is mind-blowing; it includes a plot twist readers would never see coming, which is why I believe this book deserves a six out of five.
