Family of Liars

As soon as I heard about his book, I had to read it from the title to the previous book made before this one. I gave the sequel by E. Lockhart, "We Were Liars," 4.5 stars. The thriller abstract of this book intrigued me and expected it vaguely to earn a 5/5 from me. The first few chapters of the book kept my interest, but after that, I got bored. It disappointed me, although I knew what to expect. I failed to perceive a storyline twist. The sequel had more plot twists and romance. I expected this book to share all three sisters' deepest secrets and something that they did was worse than what their kids did. Carrie is the older child, and she serves as her family's shadow. She's not as attractive as Penny or Bess, her relatives. Penny stole her heart the one time she fell in love. The guy was an absolute bastard. The book just revolved around Carrie’s life and how she felt as the eldest daughter. I expected and desired more romance and thriller than just minor pieces and the continuation of Carrie's miserable existence. Overall, the book wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great either. This book has 3/5 stars from me.
