Session 3 of Now and Zen Mindfulness with Samantha

Join Samantha for a kid-friendly mindfulness and meditation session, including a short storytime!  Samantha is a certified yoga instructor, wellness enthusiast, and graduate student at the Rutgers School of Social Work.  As the current social work intern at East Brunswick Public Library, she helps serve the community in various areas and services including mental health, food aid, homeless support, health services, employment, and connection to other resources.  Her virtual office hours are Mondays from 10am-3pm, Wednesday 11am-4pm, and Thursday 11am-4pm.  To schedule a virtual appointment,

Poison Prevention: Candy Look-Alikes and Other Risks

Halloween is the kick-off for the candy season in many American homes.  But as young children become accustomed to consuming sweet treats, they also may be at a greater risk of helping themselves to a dangerous look-alike, like medicine, household cleaners, and other potentially poisonous products.  Browse the resources below to learn about simple ways to educate your children and safely store products to prevent an accidental poisoning at home, as well as what to do if you believe someone has ingested or been exposed to a poison.

Play'n'Learn 14-Day Food Challenge
