Rose Mary Merola, MD, FAAP, discusses several topics, including:

  • Recognizing the early signs of autism and what to do
  • Awareness of the core symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Treatment options for different age groups based on the individual child's findings
  • Resources regarding diagnosis and intervention services

Dr. Merola, who is board certified in neurodevelopmental pediatrics, is the chief of the Division of Developmental Pediatrics at The Children's Hospital at Saint Peter's University Hospital. She completed her pediatric residency at Brookdale University Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, and then completed her fellowship in neurodevelopmental pediatrics at Children's Specialized Hospital in Mountainside, NJ.
