2024 NATIONAL MEDAL
for Museum and Library Service Finalist

Adults

World Braille Day

Are you struggling to read traditional print? Then you may qualify to borrow books from the New Jersey State Library Talking Book & Braille Center (TBBC)! TBBC provides services and accessible books (audiobooks and braille) to New Jersey residents who are low vision, have reading disabilities, or cannot hold a book or turn the pages.

Neuropatholator Visual Odyssey

Neuropatholator® by Visual Odyssey database depicts the human body, conditions that interfere with self-healing and peak performance, and additional information using computer animated software. The database supplements the library’s Natural Health & Wellness display that educates residents about healthy lifestyle choices; offers means for supporting the body’s natural ability to recover from pain and ill health; and inspires ways to express optimal physical, mental, and social wellbeing.

Book Swap

Sunday, October 23 -- 1:00-3:00 PM

Do you own books that you're not planning to re-read?  Everything old is new again at the library's Book Swap!  Bring up to 10 of your used books to swap with other readers.  You'll be issued one "book buck" for every book you bring, plus one extra just for attending, and you can use your book bucks to "pay" for the books you decide to make yours.

Don't have any books to swap?  You're still welcome to attend and select one book to keep.

Books must be in good condition.  Textbooks and instruction manuals are not accepted.
