Pakistani teenager Ria Khan, who believes she must save her older sister from an inappropriate marriage, recruits her friends and uses her skills as a martial artist to pull off an ambitious wedding heist in the name of sisterhood.  This comic action-adventure movie mashup is writer/director Nida Manzoor’s debut feature film.

The Truffle Hunters—Italy—2021—84 minutes—Not Rated--Documentary

In the forests of Piedmont, Italy, a handful of aging men and their dogs hunt for the rare white Alba truffle, following a tradition passed down through generations. In this acclaimed documentary, filmmakers Michael Dweck and Gregory Kershaw follow the hunters as they bring their truffles from the forest floor to the restaurant plate, capturing a precarious ritual constantly threatened by greed and outside influences.

Two very different expectant mothers, middle-aged Janis and adolescent Ana, share a hospital room while they await the birth of their babies and form a close bond that complicates and changes both their lives.  Written and directed by Pedro Almodovar, this drama stars Academy Award-nominated actress Penelope Cruz.

The Duke--UK—2022--96 minutes—Rated R—Comedy 

Kempton Bunton, a 60-year old taxi driver from Newcastle, steals a painting from London's National Gallery and holds it hostage to convince the government to provide free television for the elderly. Based on a true story, this comedy stars Jim Broadbent and Helen Mirren.

The Jersey Pinelands: more than meets the eye

For many people who’ve lived in New Jersey their whole lives, this swath of land covering 20 percent of the state - commonly known as the Pine Barrens - is just a place you drive through to get to the shore!
Although its features are more subtle than the rugged land of the western states, the Pinelands are just as diverse, interesting and complex. Living in New Jersey and not exploring and learning about them is a big loss.
