I definitely have to buy the book now

I happen to love Karen McManus’ writing, having read the entire series of One of Us is Lying, and I also am obsessed with multiple different povs in a book, so this is definitely a tad biased You’ll Be The Death Of Me takes place in a small town called Carlton. The story is told by Ivy, an intelligent girl under a lot of pressure to top her brother, Mateo, a struggling teen trying to both help his mother, and protect his cousin from trouble, and Cal, who is struggling with his relationships and finding his true self again. These three used to be friends until high school, and on the day that one of their classmates dies, they just so happen to skip together in hopes of recreating one of their favorite memories called The Greatest Day Ever, and stumble upon his body. This was truly enjoyable for me since you get to see the character relationships more clearly coming from each of them, their personalities, and how they’re viewed. When one character seems to get closer and closer to trouble, it is fun to see the other character’s reactions and how they feel in the moment. The story is the usual young adult murder mystery type of novel. Its plot twists with the different characters was very interesting, and had me continuously wanting to read more. It’s great for those who enjoy looking at details and guessing who’s the guilty party, however sometimes it was a little to easy to assume who was at fault. Romance was also involved, however, of course it was only a subplot for the most part. Another must read from Karen McManus.
