About This Book

A storm is approaching, an army of Iron fey that will drag me back, kicking and screaming. Drag me away from the banished prince who's sworn to stand by my side. Drag me into the core of a conflict so powerful I'm not sure anyone can survive it.

Meghan Chase thought her time with the fey was over, that the sacrifices she had to make were done. But war is brewing as another Iron King rises to destroy the courts of Faery and corrupt the Nevernever forever. The age-old rivalry of the Summer and Winter courts must be put aside as the rulers prepare to face their mutual enemy...and Meghan must step once more into the fray and finally learn the secret destiny that has been hers to claim all along. But first, she must make one final, heartbreaking sacrifice.

“The Iron Queen” by Julie Kagawa

“The Iron Queen” by Julie Kagawa is the third book in the Iron Fey series. Meghan Chase, the main character of the Iron Fey series, is half-fey and half human. In book 2 of the Iron Fey series, Meghan Chase, and her boyfriend, Ash, get banished to the mortal realm. Ash is the prince of the Winter Fey, while Meghan is the princess of the Summer Fey, which means they aren’t meant to be together, but since they decided to disregard these rules, they were banished. The story starts off with Meghan wanting to go back to her mortal house, but after she discovered that there was Iron Fey waiting near her house to kill her, she didn’t want to go to her house in case that led to her family getting harmed. The Iron Fey were basically rogue Fey that wanted to take over Nevernever, which is the land of Fey. Throughout the book Meghan realizes that her mortal father was kidnapped by Queen Lea, who gave them shelter and helped them survive. This came to a surprise to Meghan, and after rescuing her father, she not only has to help him become sane, but also has to defeat the “false king,’ who was planning to destroy Nevernever. Will Meghan be able to help her mortal father, and defeat the false king without dying? Read “The Iron Queen” by Julie Kagawa In my opinion “The Iron Queen” by Julie Kagawa is a 4 out of 5. Meghan goes through many adventures that kept me glued to the book, and I just couldn’t stop reading it. I would recommend this book to all people the age of 12 or up.
