Teens

Teen Yoga

Yoga is more than doing poses. Yoga is the union of the body, mind, and spirit. Practicing yoga gives you strength in body, peace of mind, and a joyful spirit.

Teens today have a lot on their plates, with super competitive academics and sports, packed schedules, and parental pressure.

Join the teen yoga class to chill out and get in tune with your body. This class focuses on breath work, stretching, relaxation and yes, some postures, such as standing poses, forward bends, balance poses, twists, and seated poses.

Bring your own mat or use one of ours!

6th Annual Hour of Code

Join us for another awesome night full of computer science for teens! The East Brunswick High School Code Club will host another year of coding, robotics, and more after hours for teens at the library. Activities this year will include QR-Code based scavenger hunts, hands on robot building, and a coding competition.

Carrabba's Italian Grill is catering and the Teen Friends of the Library will be selling snacks, baked goods, and drinks as a library fundraiser.

Grades 6 -12

Maker Monday: Yoga Mat Bag

Catch the Creativebug! We'll follow along on Creativebug as sewer and quilter Ashley Nickels shows you how to create a stylish, functional carrier bag for your yoga mat.

Learn how to cut out the pattern pieces, add handles, and attach D-ring hardware to hold the mat in place. Best of all, this yoga mat bag features a zippered pocket - an essential for stashing your keys and phone while you're on the mat.

There are limited spots and limited supplies! Register to attend this event here.
