We will be reading The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict for our October meeting.

New Brazilian Jazz Pop-up Diversity Concert

Join us for a diverse, pop-up concert performance with music accompaniment provided by the New Brazilian Jazz Ensemble featuring students in the Jazz Studies Department at the Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts. Not only will these concerts provide the opportunity for Rutgers students to be involved within their community, but also give them the opportunity to promote diversity and inclusion within Mason Gross and the community in Middlesex County.

Bridge

It was a bridge to everything, and no one could see it but me. I was unlocked. Hell, the game changed, once I saw myself the way my teacher saw me. It’s like I didn’t have glasses for sixteen years, but needed them. The prescription is filled, and the world cracked open. It’s nectar. It’s stairways. It’s cold, cold, open air. I didn’t know everything I needed, I already had. Now I know.

Learn how to get started with music production using a computer. Audio recording and making music. Beginners, all ages and no music experience needed. Learn how to make music at the East Brunswick Library. 

Brandon Kurzawa, a teacher of music since ‘00, was an adjunct professor of audio engineering from ‘07 to ‘09 and teaches at Music Notes Academy.

Once I remember my father saying how he missed me as a little kid. I had felt insulted. Now, I often think back to this comment. I love my much younger sisters, now in their twenties, but I too miss the joy we shared when they were toddlers. All lasting, meaningful relationships evolve into something deeper. But the feeling I didn't understand then is where the magic happened. I miss it too, Dad.

Talk to a Future Doc

Students from Robert Wood Johnson Medical Student are stopping by between 10:00 – Noon with a table in the lobby to teach ways to stay healthy.   Students will have handouts and fun giveaways on the topic of Sleep and Sleep Difficulties for all ages to learn about sleep and how it relates to staying healthy.
