About This Book

My name--my True Name--is Ashallayn'darkmyr Tallyn.

I am the last remaining son of Mab, Queen of the Unseelie Court.

And I am dead to her.

My fall began, as many stories do, with a girl...

To cold faery prince Ash, love was a weakness for mortals and fools. Until Meghan Chase--a half-human, half-fey slip of a girl--smashed through his barricades, binding him to her irrevocably with his oath to be her knight. But Meghan is now the Iron Queen, ruler of a realm where no Winter or Summer fey can survive.

With the unwelcome company of his archrival, Summer Court prankster Puck, and the infuriating cait sith Grimalkin, Ash begins a quest to find a way to honor his vow to stand by Meghan's side. To survive in the Iron Realm, he must have a soul and a mortal body. But the tests he must endure to earn these things are impossible. And along the way, Ash learns a truth that challenges his darkest beliefs and shows him that, sometimes, it takes more than courage to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa

The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa is the fourth book of the Iron Fey series. It starts off in Ash’s point of view, a very prominent character in the book series, but the story is usually told in the point of view of Meghan Chase, the main character of the book. As Ash and Puck, who is Meghan’s best friend, look for Grimalkin, a cait sith that will help with Ash’s quest, they run into a powerful witch that Puck didn’t really have a good relationship with. While talking to the witch, Grimalkin finally appears. In the third book, The Iron Queen, it is revealed that Meghan became the Iron Queen. For normal fey, such as Ash and Puck, iron is deadly. Even though Meghan became the Iron Queen, and it is deadly for Ash to go onto her land, he still promised Meghan that somehow they would reunite. As Ash decided, the only way for him to meet Meghan was for him to become human. This would mean that he would lose his fey powers, including his immortality. The journey to get to the End of the World, the place where he could become human, was an extremely hard journey that no one has ever survived. Will Ash be able to make it back to Meghan or will he never see the light of day? I would rate the book 4 out of 5 stars. I would recommend this book to people who are 13 or older. This book is filled with many adventures, and if you love fantasy fiction, you will absolutely love this book. Even those that love fictional books in general will find this book a good read.
