Join Insectropolis as they present their bugs on the go program!
A unique, memorable and educational program where participants will learn about this often misunderstood tiny animals.
There will be live animals! Please join us in learning about these cool creatures.
Ages 4 and up
There are four different sessions of the same presentation available.

Teen Volunteer Shreya D. will show you how to extract DNA from a strawberry! Shreya will go through the process and give you the instructions to try on your own later! This is an informational program and you are not expected to follow along.
This program is designed for kids in grades 4th through 6th, but all are welcome to attend.
Please register in advance by clicking "Join Event" to receive the Zoom login information so you have it before the program starts! Details will be re-sent to all registrants a half an hour prior to program start.

Think protecting yourself from the sun isn't a concern this time of year? Think again!
Join Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School students to discover important information about sun protection and skin cancer prevention & detection. This is a fun and interactive presentation emphasizing the importance of skin cancer prevention for everyone!
Recommended for families with kids in 1st grade and up. Tweens, teens, and parents/caregivers welcome!

Kids and their grown up can show off their costumes during our annual Halloween Parade! This event will start in the children's department of the library and, weather permitting, head outside for a march around the municipal courtyard. The parade will start promptly at 11, so please be sure to come a few minutes early.
Bring your cutest stuffed animals and give them a checkup, just like a real doctor!
Kids will learn from future doctors how to perform the doctor's exam, including taking their temperature, listening to the heart, and putting on a bandaid.

Join us for a special sensory-friendly hour at the library, held before public hours.
This dedicated time is designed to offer a quieter, calmer library experience for children, teens, and adults with sensory sensitivities, along with their families or guardians.
The library will be open only to registered participants during this hour, providing a safe, low-stimulation environment to browse, read, use the computers and explore before regular public hours begin.
