Family Fun & Fitness!

Take a fitness challenge that'll be a blast for the whole family!

Kids and families will have fun participating in different training exercises and games.  Develop a healthier lifestyle by learning skills to improve strength, balance, and cardio endurance. 

For families with kids ages 5 and up.

This program is presented by CJ Hirschy of the Raritan Valley YMCA in East Brunswick, where he serves as the Fitness, Sports, and Membership Director.

Effective Doctor Visits -- followed by Blood Sugar Screening

With this program you will learn about what to expect from a doctor's visit, plus tips on how to have an effective talk with your doctor. The presenter will give suggestions on how to retain the information discussed during a visit with your healthcare provider.

 

This presentation will be followed by a free blood sugar screening provided by a registered nurse.

The 2-hour walk-in session will be first come, first served.  Please be aware that there may be a wait time since no registration or appointment is required.

“I don’t understand!” Aging, Hearing Loss, and Dementia

This program will discuss the effects of aging on hearing, the challenges of diagnosing dementia when hearing loss is present, and the links between dementia and hearing loss. Three theories on the links between hearing loss and cognitive impairment will be explored. Finally, practical suggestions on treatment of hearing loss for patients with cognitive impairment will be offered.
