Stuck at home and looking for something new to read? The First Chapter Book Club is just for you! We'll be selecting awesome books and reading just their first chapter. If you are hooked, we'll tell you how you can read the rest of the book for free using some of our amazing online resources! The second book that we're reading from is Sink or Swim, the third book in the Whatever After series by Sarah Mlynowski.

Here are some of our favorite books, sorted by grade level. If you're looking for something new to read, take a look at these! We know you can't actually come to the library to check out the books, but if a title looks interesting, be sure to look for it on our eLibrary or Hoopla in ebook or audiobook format. The following lists are also printable, in case you want a copy of your own.

Grades K-1

This is the first "meeting" of our new online LEGO Club!  Each Wednesday, we'll post a challenge; you have until Sunday to put on your finishing touches and share a picture of your masterpiece.

Have you been missing your regular library storytimes? We all have certainly been missing seeing all of you too! Just because the library is closed doesn't mean that we can sit down together and share a few songs and a story. As we come into springtime it can be easy to get cabin fever, especially looking at all the beautiful weather outside! Here's a quick reminder that state parks and hiking trails are still open, as long as you maintain safe social distancing! Get some fresh air and some exercise by checking out one of Middlesex County Hiking Trails. Don't forget to take along a pair of binoculars to spot wildlife!
