Storytime Dance Party with Miss Jolie

Enjoy a special storytime & dance party with Miss Jolie as she reads her published children's book-Searching for Good Luck, while weaving in music, dancing, and mindful moments! Miss Jolie will take the children on a journey to explore different emotions, and discover what it means to feel "lucky". This program is all about GRATITUDE, and instills mindfulness for children through reading, breathing, movement- and of course, having fun!

Bubbly Beats with Miss Jolie!:

BUBBLY BEATS with Miss Jolie! This is a music & movement program that includes a bubble show and bubble popping fun! Miss Jolie will showcase various bubbles in all shapes & sizes + bubble tricks,  "popping" songs & games! She might even put kids INSIDE of a bubble!  This program is geared towards ages 5-9.

 

Talls & Smalls Reading Practice

This summer, the library is offering kids entering 1st and 2nd grades a special opportunity to practice their reading skills by reading with a teen volunteer, either one-on-one or in a small group.  This limited program will be offered for 6 sessions and is open to participants with East Brunswick library cards.  The program will be offered as six individual sessions and you can register by clicking on the date you are interested in on the library's online calendar.  The program runs Wednesdays, July 10-August 14 at 6:30 PM.

Pokémon Club

Join us for Pokémon card trading, trivia games, and more!

This program will be hosted by TAG volunteer Lilian. Available to Grades 3 - 8. Drop-ins welcome. Bring Pokémon cards if you have them!

 

Create a Modge Podge Candle Votive (GR 6+) REG

Pictured is an example made by Ms. Sarah. You will be able to cut out your own shapes, or you can use pre-cut squares for a mosaic style look. We will have paint markers available as well.

The project includes a citronella candle -- a natural mosquito repellent. Light this candle while you're BBQ-ing outside or hanging out with your friends to keep critters at bay.

Suncatcher Painting

Kids entering grades 1 and up are invited to paint suncatchers.  This is a potentially messy program, so please do not wear your finest!  Suncatchers will need to dry for 2-3 hours.  Participants will be able to pick them up later or bring them home (very carefully) on a paper plate.
