Join us for a diverse, pop-up concert performance with music accompaniment provided by the New Brazilian Jazz Ensemble featuring students in the Jazz Studies Department at the Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts. Not only will these concerts provide the opportunity for Rutgers students to be involved within their community, but also give them the opportunity to promote diversity and inclusion within Mason Gross and the community in Middlesex County.

It’s like I didn’t have glasses for sixteen years, but needed them. The prescription is filled, and the world cracked open. It’s nectar. It’s stairways. It’s cold, cold, open air. I didn’t know everything I needed, I already had. Now I know.

What Was So Wrong With Me Now? (a Short Story Contest entry by Shelly Rzewuski)
Once I remember my father saying how he missed me as a little kid. I had felt insulted. Now, I often think back to this comment. I love my much younger sisters, now in their twenties, but I too miss the joy we shared when they were toddlers. All lasting, meaningful relationships evolve into something deeper. But the feeling I didn't understand then is where the magic happened. I miss it too, Dad.
