East Brunswick Public Library teams up with Project Rise (a Dawoodi Bohra Initiative) and New Jersey Assemblyman Sterley S. Stanley for an upcycling workshop at the library on Saturday, April 19 at 11:00 am.
Upcycling is a simple yet powerful concept that can bring about positive change for the environment. It is the process of transforming old or discarded items into new and useful things rather than throwing them away. In 2023, the state of New Jersey passed a resolution that names April 16 as the state's official "Upcycling Day."
Let's craft like it's 2012! Kids in 1st grade and up can go (slightly) old school with the library's awesome teen volunteers and learn to make a simple rubber band bracelet on their fingers or using some of the Rainbow Loom tools.
