Upcycling Day

Apr 19 - 11:00am to 1:00pm

East Brunswick Public Library teams up with Project Rise (a Dawoodi Bohra Initiative) and New Jersey Assemblyman Sterley S. Stanley for an upcycling workshop at the library on Saturday, April 19 at 11:00 am.

Upcycling is a simple yet powerful concept that can bring about positive change for the environment. It is the process of transforming old or discarded items into new and useful things rather than throwing them away. In 2023, the state of New Jersey passed a resolution that names April 16 as the state's official "Upcycling Day."

At this event, the community will have an opportunity to make some uncycled creations. Attendees are asked to bring a plastic water bottle (20 oz.), cardboard egg cartons, and tin cans for hte workshop!
