Hoopla is an online streaming service that provides library patrons with access to hundreds of thousands of movies, television shows, music albums, eBooks, audiobooks and comics—from major Hollywood studios, record companies and publishers—to borrow for instant streaming or temporary downloading to their smartphones, tablets and computers.

Kanopy is a movie streaming service that provides library patrons with access to over 30,000 films, featuring classic and world cinema, indie films and top documentaries.  Popular producers include The Criterion Collection, Great Courses, and Orchard.  Be sure to also check out Kanopy Kids for exclusive kid content, including movies, TV and learning videos.

How to get started

  • You can access Kanopy through the website or through apps available for Android, iOS, Chromecast, Apple TV & Roku. 
  • Create an account by clicking on the Sign Up button.
  • Go to your email account to verify your email address.
  • Add your library card to start watching films.
