Sphero Code and Play Kit

Kit Use:

Spheros are app-enabled robots that you can use with Apple or Android compatible phones or tablets. After downloading the free Sphero apps, you can use your device to control this robot by a variety of means: by moving a virtual joystick, by tilting your tablet, by drawing an image, or even by writing your own code using the easy and intuitive SpheroEDU app. The kit itself includes:

  • Sphero app-enabled robotic ball
  • charging base and power cord
  • Silicone cover (note that you will need to remove the cover in order to charge the Sphero)
  • Carrying case

Once you have the Sphero at home, simply download one or both of these apps to begin your exploration:

For iOS devices:

Once you have downloaded one of these apps, you can pair the Sphero with your device via Bluetooth. Simply ensure that your Bluetooth is turned on, wake your Sphero by tapping it (it will light up), and you should see the Sphero appear on your device's list as Sphero-OPP or similar. Simply click on this to pair your device with the Sphero, open an app, and you are ready to play and learn.  Additional information and troubleshooting tips can be found at the Sphero support website here:
