We Are Multitudes: An AAPI Workshop for Creative Youths

This 1-hour workshop will cover themes of Asian American identity, belonging, and history through two immersive activities that build confidence in every girl. Join us for an invigorating evening of fun, togetherness, and meaningful connection. Participants will learn about the history of Angel Island and deconstruct the meaning behind their names. Perfect for grades 5-8 interested in art activism. 

Introduction to Java (Gr. 6+)

Java is one of the most commonly used programming languages. From its use in games like Minecraft, servers, and in the Collegeboard AP exam, it's found everywhere. In this class, you'll learn the basics of Java like Loops, Conditionals, and more. This program will be held in the EBPL computer lab. Attendees do not need to bring their own equipment.

Introduction to Java will be held on Tuesday, April 4th and Wednesday, April 5th from 2-4pm. Attendees must be able to attend both classes.

This program is for children grades 6+.

Wellness Around the World: Atlas Travels to Greece!

Join our friends at Wellness Around the World for a fun new episode!  This time, Atlas is visiting Greece and learning all about the delicious and healthy foods kids there eat with their families.  This ongoing series is created by four medical students at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.  Follow Atlas's adventures to learn about the healthy foods and fun activities kids across the planet enjoy, as well as what their daily lives are like!

Makers Day

Join us on Saturday, April 29 from 10:00am to 4:00pm for our very own Makers Day! With a focus on hands-on creativity and making through play, we'll be offering all-ages activities and hands-on learning opportunities for visitors and members of our community.

Tween Take & Make: Pop Art Pics

Tweens in grade 3 and up can pick up a take & make kit to complete at home.  This month we are coloring pop art templates to make two pictures in simple frames that you can hang up.  Choose from strawberries, coffee cups, kittens, donuts, and more.  You will need crayons or colored pencils and a glue stick or tape to complete this project.  While supplies last.
