Upcycling Workshop

East Brunswick Public Library teams up with Project Rise (a Dawoodi Bohra Initiative) and New Jersey Assemblyman Sterley S. Stanley for an upcycling workshop at the library (2 Jean Walling Civic Center Drive) on Saturday, May 4 at 1:00 pm.

Upcycling is a simple yet powerful concept that can bring about positive change for the environment. It is the process of transforming old or discarded items into new and useful things, rather than throwing them away. In 2023, the state of New Jersey passed a resolution that names April 16 as the state's official "Upcycling Day."

The Literary March Madness Winner Is...

The Wizard of Oz!

Congratulations to the classic 1939 film based on L. Frank Baum's beloved children's book released in 1900.  This movie served as the gold standard for Technicolor.  It movie still holds up 85 years later and is enjoyable across multiple generations and age groups.  A great family film.

Thank you to everyone for participating in this annual contest.  Check back next year when we will vote on another book-themed bracket.
