In this session, Gina Stravic, the Executive Director of the Raritan Valley YMCA, will conduct an Otter Spotter Water Safety program which includes a story time and interactive water safety skills session. The goal is to educate youngsters on how to react in a water emergency and reduce any fears of learning to swim. We will also review the adult role in safety around the water and provide safety recommendations to home pool owners. Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death for children age 1-4, and the second leading cause for age 1-14. Take a proactive role in preventing drowning in your home and community!
