East Brunswick Public Library has been providing books to parents since it first opened in 1967. With ParentTV, the library now provides parents with a streaming video service dedicated to family resources.
ParentTV offers hundreds of on-demand videos and courses to help parents, whether their child is an infant or teenager. The videos are produced with leading psychologists, pediatricians, educators and occupational therapists.
These videos can be accessed on any computer, tablet or smartphone with Internet access.
“This is a great service for parents,” said Suzanne Klein, a children’s librarian at East Brunswick Public Library. “It is a streaming service like Netflix or Hulu, but with a focus on parenting.”
Some of the most popular videos include “Anxiety and Our Kids,” “Supporting Under 5’s With Emotions and Tantrums,” “Managing Technology in the Home,” and “The Parent’s Guide to Bullying.”
Videos are available in several non-English languages, including Arabic, Cantonese, Hindi, Mandarin and Spanish.
