Dog Man Buttons & Bookmarks

Thursday, October 23, 3:00PM

What happens to old library books?  Many of them end up at the Friends of the Library Book Sale, but some of them are literally falling apart from our EB kids reading and reading and reading them!  Those are too gross to be sold.  Thankfully, they are not too gross to turn into something new!

Kids in kindergarten and up are invited to this fun event to make bookmarks and buttons out of beat-up old Dog Man books!

Limited space!  Free tickets available at the children's desk beginning at 2:30 PM.

Sensory Friendly Browsing Hour

Join us for a special sensory-friendly hour at the library, held before public hours.

This dedicated time is designed to offer a quieter, calmer library experience for children, teens, and adults with sensory sensitivities, along with their families or guardians.

The library will be open only to registered participants during this hour, providing a safe, low-stimulation environment to browse, read, use the computers and explore before regular public hours begin.

Art Explorers: Apple Stamping!

Tuesday, September 30, 10:00AM

Let's explore with some simple art supplies!  Rather than focusing on a specific project, we'll try out different tools and techniques each month.

This month we'll try our hand at apple stamping.  We'll be using washable paints, but please do not wear your finest!

Class begins at 10:00 and we'll clean up together at 10:45.

Recommended for ages 3 and up, with an adult.

World Smile Day

Friday, October 3

All day, while supplies last!

Each October 3, World Smile Day, a holiday that encourages people to be kind to each other, is celebrated.  For our part, the library is treating our young friends to a punny act of kindness by giving out children's toothbrushes and tooth-themed coloring sheets!  Stop by to show us your smile and pick up a treat for your pearly whites!

For kids of all ages, while supplies last.

Open Playtime in October!

Open Playtime returns with two dates this month!  Babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and their grown-ups can join us to enjoy the library's educational toys and each other's company!

Fridays, October 3 and 17 -- 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Stay the whole time or just drop in, but definitely don't miss the fun!
