Summer Coding Club for 6th grader + : CMU Python

Jul 11 - 2:00pm to 3:30pm

Summer Coding club is using the CS0 program from CS Academy of Carnegie Mellon University.

"The K-8 space is filled with engaging yet simple CS content. The next time many students see CS is in an AP computer science class.

CS Academy bridges this gap with an engaging graphics package that allows for creativity while students write text-based code in Python."

CS0 is a self-paced Python coding program . We use 2nd ed this summer, so if you have joined CMU Python in the previous 2 summers, you need to start from Unit 1.

It's possible that you can finish all the checkpoints by yourselves without attending the online meeting.

For those who need more hand-holding with tips and hints, we will hold Zoom meeting from July 11th to 28th ( every Mon , Wed & Thur 2-3:30pm) to go over the units. We will cover only 2 units this July.

For registration, please fill out this form Registration is closed since it is full.

CS Academy account login info and meeting link will be emailed to you by July 8. Check your spam folder in case it goes there.

For any further questions, please contact Sally Leung , Youth Services Librarian.
