Description:This fun program traces the 5421-year history of taxation, investing and finance. Find out why most of what you are told about investing are estimates (but what needs to be exact), some key investing warnings, tips to reduce risk and grow your assets, and some looming tax increases you should be aware of.  Learn how taxes started a war, how a naked lady got her husband to cut taxes, and how a political opponent of Abe Lincoln put his own picture on the paper money issued to fund the Civil War. Discover how wrong conventional wisdom can be! This is presenter Edward Mendlowitz’s 41st Annual Finance Program. These programs have been presented to audiences across the country, and now on Zoom!

Presenter: Edward Mendlowitz, CPA, is emeritus partner at WithumSmith+Brown, PC and is one of Accounting Today’s 100 Most Influential People. Ed is the author of 29 books and has written over 1500 articles and blogs and developed and presented over 350 speeches to accountants and general audiences. He is a licensed certified public accountant and is accredited by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) in business valuation and as a personal financial specialist (PFS). He teaches courses on financial analysis and managerial accounting in the MBA program at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
