East Brunswick Public Library and the rest of the LMxAC member libraries are getting ready to launch a brand new catalog library on June 13, 2024.
What do I need to know?
Between June 3 and June 12, we will need to run a temporary offline system while we upgrade. During this time:
- Due dates for items due back between June 1 and June 13 have been extended to June 20, 2024.
- Items cannot be checked in and taken off your account. If you have any library items checked out, please hold on to them until our new library system launches. Items returned during this time will remain on your account until after June 13.
- You will not accrue any overdue fines at this time.
- You won't be able to place hold requests - but any existing holds will move over to the new system.
- You won't be able to pay fines or fees or renew or register for a new library card.
- You will be able to check out materials in person at all member libraries. Please bring your library card with you, since we will not be able to look up your card number.
- You can still use our electronic resources.
- The LMxPress Plus app will still be usable to display your library barcode for checking out items, and will automatically upgrade to a new version on or about June 13.
Do I need a new library card?
No. Your existing library card works with our new system.
What improvements can I expect?
- When viewing details about a book in a series, you'll easily be able to find other books in that series.
- Clicking on an author's name anywhere in the catalog shows an author bio, other titles by the author and more.
- Select your desired format directly from search results. Find formats such as books, large print or eBook easily.
- Save your searches for easy discovery of what interests you, collected along with your checkouts and holds.
