Boots to Business (B2B) is an entrepreneurial education and training program offered by SBA as part of the Department of Defense's Transition Assistance Program (TAP). B2B provides participants with an overview of business ownership and is open to service members (including National Guard and Reserve) and military spouses.
SCORE is dedicated to helping veteran entrepreneurs translate military skills into business success. SCORE is dedicated to helping veteran entrepreneurs. SCORE is the nation’s largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors. Their network of more than 10,000 mentors can meet with you via phone, video, or email to answer your business questions and guide you through start-up or growth planning. Some of the mentors also served in the military. They understand your challenges because they’ve faced them, too. The New Jersey State Veterans Chamber of Commerce Is a 501c6 non-profit organization that is focused on improving the economic environment for veterans and military spouses. It’s open to all veteran owned businesses with a mission focused on education, veteran business advocacy, networking, procurement and supplier diversity events. Our goal is to make New Jersey’s economy fairer to veteran owned and service connected veteran owned businesses, as well as veteran job creation.
The NJ Department of Labor offers Veteran Services. Veterans receive first priority referral to all job and training opportunities for which they qualify. DOL staff specialists help veterans find suitable jobs and opportunities, as well as:enroll in free job search workshops, develop a resume, learn about career training programs, and get help understanding the array of benefits available through the Veterans Administration and state and local government agencies.
