SLEEP APNEA AND INSOMNIA IN THE ADULT POPULATION WITH NEW CHALLENGES DURING THE COVID PANDEMIC

The second half of the program features Ashgan Elshinawy, DO, medical director, Center for Sleeping and Breathing Disorders, Saint Peter's University Hospital. She will discuss sleep apnea and insomnia in adults. In the setting of the COVID pandemic, there may be fewer people willing to have outpatient testing for safety issues and therefore go undiagnosed and untreated. Insomnia is likely worsening among millions during the pandemic for a variety of reasons.

Presented by: Ashgan Elshinawy, D.O., Medical Director, Center for Sleep & Breathing Disorders, Saint Peter's University Hospital

Dr. Elshinawy graduated from the UMDNJ School of Osteopathic Medicine (Now Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine).
