Do you want to learn JavaScript, create attractive visuals for gaming, or create your own Art to sell as NFTs? P5.js is the environment to do all those things.

p5.js will help people who have never programmed before or with some experience of computer programming within the context of visual media in a way that encourages future exploration and creates enthusiasm for coding.

When you use p5.js you follow JavaScript syntax rules and conventions. 

This class takes a top-down approach, emphasizing mastery of high-level concepts with hands-on practice with easy-to-follow tutorials.

Prerequisites

Basics knowledge of programming: variables and conditionals.

Be comfortable using Slack to copy and paste code. 

Be creative. 

Please plan to join the meeting 10 minutes prior to the program so your device has time to connect.

  • A Computer or Smart Phone is required to watch and hear this class
  • To follow along with the virtual class, we suggest having two devices or two monitors during the class. On one device you can watch the class and on the other, you can use the application. Or you can use one desktop/laptop and two browsers, follow this article to learn how. 
  • If you have a camera & microphone, you will be muted during the program. Unmute yourself to talk or use the chatbox to ask questions. Questions are encouraged.
