Option Green: Water Quality in EB (Hybrid)
Please complete this survey about water in the township in advance.
East Brunswick homeowners pay their water bills to the township’s Water & Sewer Utility several times a year, but do they know how their water quality is monitored and maintained?
Dan Losik, director of Public Works and Water & Sewer Utilities, will discuss how the township assures the safety and quality of residents’ drinking water in a program presented at the East Brunswick Public Library at 4 Jean Walling Civic Center, and on Zoom at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 19. The program is free and open to the public.
According to Losik, the Water Utility is responsible for providing safe drinking water to the community and assuring that its quality meets or exceeds the standards established by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. The utility maintains 240 miles of water mains to ensure delivery of drinking water at adequate pressures and volumes for normal domestic and commercial use and for firefighting requirements.
Losik has been with the township for 25 years in the Engineer Department and Public Works. He earned a bachelor of science degree in engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and holds licenses as a Certified Public Works Manager and Certified Recycling Professional.
