Meet the Coordinators of Chinese American and South Asian Mental Health Outreach Programs
Information on mental health support groups, mental health related social gatherings, training, education programs and professional lists will be introduced at this outreach information table event by the coordinators of NAMI NJ CAMHOP and NAMI NJ SAMHAJ.
NAMI NJ CAMHOP (Chinese American Mental Health Outreach Program) is a NAMI New Jersey initiative to serve individuals with lived experience of mental health conditions and their family members from the Chinese community in New Jersey.
NAMI NJ SAMHAJ (South Asian Mental Health Awareness in New Jersey) is a NAMI New Jersey initiative to help South Asians understand that mental illness is a biologically based and treatable illness. SAMHAJ serves South Asians from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
