Introduction to Brain Injury (Hybrid)
This program is designed to provide an overview of the functions of the brain, as well as the different types and levels of severity of brain injury. We will discuss the prevalence and causes of brain injury and will identify the changes that can occur after a brain injury, including cognitive, emotional, and physical symptoms. In addition, this program will cover strategies to help individuals with brain injury, and will explore the role of caregivers and loved ones in supporting them and promoting their recovery. This workshop will also provide a brief overview of programs and services available to individuals with brain injury and their families.
