Diabetes and Hearing Loss (Zoom)

This program features two experts discussing the prevalence of hearing loss in patients with diabetes, how diabetes causes hearing loss and the impact of hearing loss on quality of life. Recommendations for monitoring and treatment will be discussed.

Dr. Vicente T. Zapanta is an experienced otolaryngologist located in Parlin, NJ. He serves as medical director of the Center for Balance and Hearing at Old Bridge Medical Center and Raritan Bay Medical Center. His specialties include head and neck surgery, neurosurgery, otolaryngology and plastic surgery.

Sara E. Kader, AuD., CCC-A, is the program coordinator for the Center for Balance and Hearing at Old Bridge Medical Center and Raritan Bay Medical Center. She is also board certified in precepting doctoral students through the American Academy of Audiology. Kader has been practicing for 24 years at various hospitals in the New York and New Jersey areas.
