Date with Death Club

Jan 8 - 10:00am to 12:15pm

Date with Death Club for its January session is going online. Haven't been but want to try it? You are welcome!  Make sure you click on this link to register - it will give you the actual zoom link when you do. The session begins at 10am and will go until 12:30. Please have with you materials for journaling. This month's session explores the role of a "death doula" and how to create a positive environment for a deathbed vigil.

Created by Karen G. Johnston, Date with Death Club (DwDC) explores mortality in community.  DwDC is an opportunity to learn, share, and deepen your own understanding of what death means to you and how you want to approach death -- particularly your own.

DwDC is not a bereavement or grief support group. While it may be healing of the human condition, the nature of the DwDC is not specifically therapeutic. All are welcome to join, you do not have to register beforehand.

Karen G Johnston is the settled minister at The Unitarian Society in East Brunswick, NJ. Before becoming a minister, she spent 20+ years as a clinical social worker.  The heart of her spiritual practice is Befriending Death. She has been trained as an End of Life Death Doula (INELDA). She spent nearly a decade creating and facilitating engaging, fun trainings for social workers.
