Piscataway Public Library, and Head of Technology Doug Baldwin and NJ Makers day President will share his knowledge and extensive experience in 3D printing.
Basic 3D Modeling
You will learn how to use a 3D modeling program called Tinkercad.
Tinkercad is a free, online, application great resource to start 3D modeling.
Basic 3D Printing
Techniques that describe how to design a 3D model and send it to the 3D printer.
Material Selection
Learn about 3D printing materials and how to choose one that meets your design application.
3D Printing as a Hobby or Business
Learn about how hobbyists, artists and businesses are using 3D printing.
Demonstration
Attendees will have the opportunity to see the new EB Create Prusa 3D Printer in action.
Attendees will have the chance to start a 3D model design using TinkerCad during the workshop. An example design will be chosen to be sent to the 3D Printer (due to time restriction printed file will be available for pick up at a later day).
Week of Making is an official NJ Makers Day event at the East Brunswick Public Library. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
Cancelation Policy
Fees for computer class registrations are NOT refundable; However, if circumstances dictate that the library must cancel a class, registration fees for enrolled students are refundable.
If You Cannot Attend
If you cannot attend a class for which you have registered, the library would ask that (as a courtesy to other registrants who may be waitlisted for that class) you call 732-390-6767 to cancel your registration or cancel your registration online so that others might have the opportunity to attend.
Waitlisted Registrants
Waitlisted registrants will be notified by email and/or telephone as soon as there is a vacancy in a class. They will have 24 hours to respond to the notification. If they do not respond within that time frame, the next person on the waiting list will be notified. Once a commitment to attend has been made, that registration is subject to the same cancelation policy noted above. Waitlisted registrants do not pay unless there is a cancelation and they are officially admitted to the class.
