Description:

In this workshop, you’ll learn the steps for starting a successful non-profit from a veteran non-profit professional. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Channel their passion for helping others into creation of a non-profit organization or getting involved with an existing nonprofit
  • Build an active volunteer board
  • Develop an operating structure 
  • Develop an awareness campaign
  • Take the steps to be in compliance with national, state and regional legal requirements

 

Presenter:

Marty Siederer is a respected non-profit professional who is motivated by initiatives and projects that:

  • Forge connections between people and organizations
  • Unlock the potential to grow organizations through
    • Revenue generation
    • Training, coaching and mentoring volunteers and staff
    • Crafting and sharing stories that inspire and motivate others to help  

Marty is currently serving as the executive director of MAC Angels Foundation and as an Encore Fellow for Single Stop, and runs Wheelhouse Associates, a fundraising consultancy. Marty resides in East Brunswick and has been a SCORE mentor since 2022 and is involved with a number of Rutgers alumni association programs.
