An introductory class that will show participants how Power BI can help them make visuals that look great.
Power BI Desktop is an application that you install on your computer that lets you connect to, transform, and visualize your data.

How to obtain Power BI for your computer.
- Option 1: Use your organization (work or school) email or get a Microsoft 365 subscription trial for 30 days*.
- Download the Power Pi Desktop App on a Windows computer (the app will not work on an Apple computer).
Install Power BI Desktop App on a Windows Computer using this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=58494. - You can go here for detailed directions on how to download and install the Power Bi app: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/fundamentals/desktop-get-the-desktop
- Download the Power Pi Desktop App on a Windows computer (the app will not work on an Apple computer).
- Option 2: Sign up as an individual for a Power BI Pro 60 days trial*. https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi-pro/
*The trials will ask you to enter a credit card. Place a reminder on your calendar to cancel the trial before it expires, to avoid credit card charges.

Microsoft Power BI Desktop requires Internet Explorer 10 or greater.
Microsoft Power BI Desktop is available for 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) platforms.
Join our class communication tool, Slack, to get the most of the class. On Slack you can ask your questions and feel involved in the discussions and seek additional help or feedback.

Class Duration: 1 hour
Please plan to join the meeting 10 minutes prior to the program so your device has time to connect.
- A Computer or laptop is required to perform the lessons. You can use a computer or mobile phone or table to watch and hear this class.
- Zoom Meeting ID and Passcode will be emailed to registered participants
- To follow along with the virtual class, we suggest having two devices or two monitors during the class. On one device you can watch the class and on the other you can use the application. Or you can use one desktop/laptop and two browser, follow this article to learn how.
- If you have a camera & microphone, you will be muted during the program. Unmute yourself to talk or use the chat box to ask questions. Questions are encouraged.
- Audience: Adults
