In the book, The Revolution of Birdie Randolph Dove “Birdie” is constantly under the pressure put on her by her mother to be the perfect daughter. But when Birdie starts to fall for a boy named Booker, who she knows her parents won't approve of, and get closer to her Aunt Carlene, she starts to drift from being her mother's perfect daughter. This book is the story of a teenage girl who is finding out how to break apart from what others expect of her and to become the person that she wants to be. I really enjoyed his book and I gave it 4.5 stars, this is because it is a good book but it's not a book I would have interest in reading again only because it's not the genre of book I typically enjoy but as I said before it is still a good story.
