Virtual Library Connection

What is VLC?

VLC stands for Virtual Library Connection - which is this summer's substitute for the teen summer community service volunteer program Teen Library Connection. All volunteer work will be held virtually this summer, so we're calling it Virtual Library Connection!

No, but what is VLC?

Just like with TLC, passionate teen volunteers will be selected to come together in groups to create something awesome for the community. Groups will meet virtually and come up with a project idea, then follow-through with the steps to make that idea a reality. Teens who participate will earn community service hours.

How can I be a part of VLC?

Fill out this application. VLC is open to teens entering 9th through 12th grade in September. The application deadline is Monday, June 28th. Acceptance letters will go out that week. There will be a mandatory meeting for all VLC members on Tuesday, July 6th at 6:30pm.

Rising juniors and seniors may also apply to be a VLC Assisstant Coordinator, which is an important leadership responsibility.

Please understand that there are limited spots available and we will not be able to accept everyone who applies.
