Did you know September 13-22 is Welcoming Week? East Brunswick Public Library (2 Jean Walling Civic Center Drive) joins organizations nationwide to bring together neighbors of all backgrounds.
Established in 2012 by the non-profit group Welcoming America, Welcoming America aims to showcase the movement of communities to be more welcoming places for all, including immigrants. To celebrate and encourage a deeper belonging for everyone in the community, the library has planned several events that week.
US Representative Bonnie Watson Coleman holds mobile office hours at East Brunswick Public Library on Monday, September 16 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Mobile office hours allow constituents to connect with her office to receive assistance or learn more about federal agencies such as the Small Business Administration, Social Security Administration, or the Department of Veterans Affairs.
The library partners with the East Brunswick Regional Chamber of Commerce for "Starting A New Business As An Immigrant" on Wednesday, September 18 at 7:00 pm. Sunit Patel, Pragati J. This program is held at the library, and will also be available via Zoom.
